About KiraDuit

KiraDuit provides free, easy-to-use financial calculators built specifically for Malaysia. Most calculators you find online quietly assume American or generic rules. KiraDuit instead uses the methods that actually apply here: flat-rate hire purchase for car loans, reducing-balance for home loans, EPF and SOCSO contributions, the LHDN income tax brackets and reliefs, and the RPGT and stamp duty scales.

Our goal is simple - help people in Malaysia make clearer money decisions without spreadsheets, sign-ups or jargon. Every calculator runs instantly in your browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.

Who is behind KiraDuit

KiraDuit is an independent project maintained by a small team based in Malaysia with a background in software and personal finance. We are not a bank, a tax agent or a financial adviser, and we do not sell financial products. The site is funded by unobtrusive advertising, which lets us keep every tool free.

How we research and check our figures

Each rate we use is taken from the authority that sets it - the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) for income tax, reliefs, RPGT and stamp duty; KWSP for EPF; and PERKESO for SOCSO and EIS. We record every figure, the year of assessment it applies to, and a link to its official source on our Sources & Methodology page, so you can verify anything yourself.

How we keep figures current

Tax brackets, reliefs and contribution rates are reviewed after each national Budget and whenever an authority announces a change. The "last reviewed" date shown on each calculator and guide tells you exactly when we last checked that page against the official sources.

A note on accuracy

KiraDuit gives estimates for general guidance. The results are not financial, tax or legal advice, and individual circumstances vary. For decisions that matter, confirm with LHDN, KWSP, your bank or a licensed professional. If you ever spot a figure that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us - we take corrections seriously.
